A Helping Hand From Hanes

I love what I do and I get a lot of great opportunities for myself and my brand but the one thing that makes me happier about what I do is when I can help others. This year I was able to help out my youngest daughters elementary school kindergarten class, not just hers but all the kindergarten classes of Keene’s Crossing Elementary School. And I owe that opportunity to Hanes and I can’t express my thanks enough.
After a Room Mom meeting with Abby’s teacher I found out that the funds for the t-shirts they use on field trips comes out of their own activities pockets I felt like I could help them out with my connection to Hanes. So after getting back home I sent off an email explaining what I would like to do and was responded to with a “We would love to help!”. When I told Abby’s teacher she was thrilled and even more so because Hanes donated the t-shirts for all Kindergarten classes, not just Abby’s.
Once the package arrived I delivered them to the school and Abby’s teacher distributed them to the other teachers and took her classes home to tie-dye them. Not only did I get a heartfelt thanks from the teacher but her whole class made me thank you notes that just touched my heart and made me very thankful that I was in a position from working as a Hanes Comfort Crew member so I could help out.
I was a chaperone on their very first field trip of the school year and I was so happy to see all the tie-dyed shirts that definitely made the kids stand out among all the others at the petting farm we went to. I saw yellow shirts (my daughters class), pink shirts, purple shirts and they all looked great!!!
The kids had so much fun on their first field trip and had a great picture that I thought was the perfect thank you to Hanes.

That is awesome you and Hanes could help them out. Don’t they all look great in their tie-dyed Hanes T-Shirts too!!
well done. I made tie-dye t shirts with my class many years ago and it was such fun. I think I’ll do it again.
