I have had a chance to review an amazing product that allows you to create your own memory family cookbook, A Plate Full of Memories.
Hella Buchheim created A Plate Full of Memories since one of her saddest regrets is the loss of most of the family food recipes of her childhood. She blames it on language differences since her grandmother never learned English. Many of her grandmother’s recipes were never written but handed down orally in the kitchen from mother to daughter. She feels that her life has been severed in some way from her ancestors that served foods at family celebrations that she will never be able to recreate. Hella wants to help others avoid the same loss. She realizes that it needs to be easy and still allow for family members to have full control throughout the process. That was her intention when creating A Plate Full of Memories so that it could be used with any cookbook making software or just using it to create your cookbook on your own computer.
Creating a Memory Cookbook will take a lot of hard work but you will have fun putting it together. The rewards from your family and friends will be well worth it. Generations of your family in years to come will think how wonderful it was that you took the time to create it.
Our CD-Rom was designed to be very user friendly, helping you to record family memories along with recipes that are a part of your family. It is our contention that the stories can disappear as easily as the recipes themselves. Both are important to keep! There are many products available in the market place that can help you design your cookbook but none allow for the stories and pictures to be an integral part of it.
“Plate Full of Memories” has been created to work on any computer using only Microsoft Word. Our thinking is that there is at least one member of a family who knows how to use a computer and if not, everyone has access to a public library where they can print all the pages. One can even ask the librarian to help if you do not know how to use a computer.
I love the idea of making a Memory Family Cookbook and as I work to put mine together I think about all the recipes from my Grandmother that are lost and I really see the importance of making one of these to pass down to my children. I recommend this product to all those that want to preserve their memories and all the fabulous recipes within your family. Order yours today.

Wow, this is such a great idea!
