About

Me

Hi, I am Jennifer, and I am the Publisher of The Dirty Shirt. I am married with three children in each of the core age ranges, 2, 10, and 17. I homeschool the two older children, who are in the 5th and 11th grades, with the help of Florida Virtual Academy.

Blogging was something I began to keep my family updated on my children’s activities. It quickly became my passion, and now my business. I love doing product reviews because they provide a closer look at some products that I never even knew existed and in turn can bring the results of my research to my readers. I post giveaways on my site, and receive products for my reviews, unless I state that I purchased the product myself. I make sure that when I get compensated for a post that I fully disclose it to my readers, I believe in full disclosure and want to be viewed as an upstanding, honest person.

I was named one of Nielsen’s Top 50 Power Moms recently and that, for me, is a testament to all my hard work. Previously I have had many accomplishments that I can be proud of. I have been a member of Mom Bloggers Club for almost two years, it was my first home in the blogosphere, and I became a Mom Bloggers Club Ambassador, which is a huge honor for me as now I can be the one to help someone. Another big honor for me was being chosen by Mom Central to be a Frigidaire Test Mom, and test out their brand new washer and dryer.

I have worked with many companies, held a BBQ sponsored by Oscar Mayer, have been invited to be a Correspondent for The Motherhood and have helped spread the news of Mom’s Homeroom on behalf of Kellogg’s. Interesting and informative, I have now seen firsthand just what it takes to film a show. And I have been invited by TJ Maxx and Marshalls, General Mills, LaundryHE and Smuckers to go to their blogger special events.

Many of my reviews have been picked up by the Chicago Sun Times, which is a huge honor for me. And I just finished up a local news interview for Fox 35 because of  my role as a mommy blogger. I have truly been blessed in this adventure and can’t wait to see what each new day brings. I have my readers and the companies that have been so generous to me to thank for that.

Social Media plays a very large role in my day to day activities, you can find me on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Social Spark (where I am proud to be on the I’m Not A Famous Blogger team), and among the many communities that I am a part of.
