Animal Planet Lions

A Lion Called Christian – This is the story behind the Internet phenomenon, “Christian the Lion”, and the five minute video that told the story of the emotional reunion between two young men and their 300 pound pet lion a year after he was released into the African wild.

The Lion’s Share – In plentiful times, this corner of Tanzania’s Serengeti is a paradise rules by lions. But when the rains stop, starvation, drought, and predators test the bonds forged by the tightly-knit matriarchal lion communities that thrive there.

White Lions – “White Lion, King of Kings” is a voyage of exploration into the regal realm of the white lion and its tenuous position as the golden king of the animal kingdom.

Rogue Lions – The lions inhabiting Kruger National Park embody the definition of a “rogue” animal because they’ve changed their normal behavior patterns and are targeting humans as a food source. We look at ways to train these lions to fear humans again.

My kids love watching Animal Planet DVDs and especially love the Lions one as big cats are among their favorite animals. Snuggling with the family watching this movie was a lot of fun. Very interesting watching four different stories and they were all touching in one way or another. Our favorite was the White Lions.
