After dealing with the frustrations of traditional baby bottle propping methods, it was decided that there must be a way to hold the baby bottle at the correct angle for the baby while ensuring that the common movements of the infant would not interfere with its use. Since the activity of the baby steadily increases, baby bottle propping methods that rest on the chest of the infant were ruled out. Therefore the Easy-Feeder Bottle Sling was developed in order to hang the baby bottle in the correct position in front of the infant’s mouth.
Ergo Products & Design is comprised of three engineers who have collaborated on this unique product. In addition, all of the founders of Ergo Products & Design, LLC are parents of two or more children. We understand what the problems are with standard baby bottle propping methods and current baby bottle holders. During the development of the product, we solicited feedback from mothers and daycare workers alike on the functionality of the sling.
This is another one of those products that I think is absolute genius! And one that I wish I had around when my kids were babies. And since they are not, I invited one of my friends over who had a baby to give this a try. The first thing I noticed was how excited her daughter got when she was placing it around the handle of her car seat, she was kicking and flailing her arms so fast I thought she was going to fall out. And when her bottle was placed in it she immediately started to drink and while doing so was pointing up at the monkey face. She looked like she loved it. Her mom said that she loved it as well and has been using it since and has received a lot of “Where did you get that?” comments, she claimed it to be a lifesaver!
I think it is a great product, and it worked. My friends daughter isn’t one to sit still while drinking from her bottle, but for this she sat still and when she did move it moved with her not away from her. I was happy to see that as in the beginning I thought it would move away when she moved. To see the bébé bottle sling in action check out the video here.
