Red Carpet Posture Book Cover

Dr. Paul Drew is a clinical doctor of physical therapy and a kinesiologist that specializes in helping clientele obtain the perfect posture, which keeps one feeling fantastic and looking like a star. Whether appearing in front of a sea of admirers or going about daily activities, one can feel and look like he or she is ready for the red carpet by following the tips and exercises that Dr. Drew offers in his book, “Red Carpet Posture” (RCP).

Eight of Dr. Drew’s female clients appear in the book as models for perfect posture, including Jeanie Buss, executive vice president of business operation for the LA Lakers; ex-pro figure skater turned Pilates teacher Ilana Turner; and children’s author Donna Raimondi.

Living near Hollywood, it always amazes Dr. Drew that so little attention is given to how one’s posture makes a fashion statement. It doesn’t matter if you are wearing the best dress from the top designer if you have bad posture. All too often, he sees young teens and adults emulating a star’s dreadful poses. Whether a celebrity or not, posture is a statement of who you are. It is important to have good posture to express that you are confident and to be respected.

Dr. Drew aims to reverse the current trend of bad posture. His clientele includes winners of the Oscar, Emmy, Tony and the Grammy. He also works with professional athletes in tennis, soccer, football, basketball, hockey and baseball. More importantly, he works with people from all walks of life, helping them improve their health, function and appearance through good posture.

Posture is something that I have always had a problem with. From younger years when I remember an aunt of mine pulling my shoulders back into the chair when she walked by telling me “You need to sit up straight!”, until now in my late 30s I always find that I do not stand up straight. After reading through Red Carpet Posture and settling on some exercises to do to strengthen my back I got to work. The stomach crunches with the ball are my favorite and boy do they work. Sore is a good thing!

Seriously, this book has so many great exercises to help your back become stronger and to improve your posture. Coupled with making a conscious effort to stand up straight you too can have “Red Carpet Posture”. I recommend this book to everyone wanting to improve their posture!
