I awoke from some of the best sleep I have had in a long time ready to start the day and excited to be going to the Bosch Gallery, only problem was it was 2:30 am, my body clock was at 5:30 am so I was up way early. So I caught up on my email and did some work before getting dressed to meet everyone for breakfast. There was a lovely buffet in the restaurant so I filled up my plate and headed outside. This was our view from the table…

Simply breathtaking, I could totally get used to living in the mountains, heck I even heard they had condos at the hotel, now that would be nice since I never wanted to leave there. After the delicious breakfast we all headed to the Bosch Gallery ready to learn some new laundry tips.

The Bosch Gallery is huge, and we definitely learned a lot about their line of washers and dryers and in the process had my appetite whetted for some of their other lines. Our first stop was a fun one, you know how kids are always getting dirty? Like falling in mud, spilling their grape juice or even dropping their food on themselves? Well we got to make a dirty shirt (fitting right?) ourselves. We took meat for a blood stain, chocolate sauce, orange juice, eggs and more and smeared them all over a brand spanking new clean white shirt.

We certainly made a mess (and it was so much fun to do)! They took the shirts and threw them in a washing machine while we moved on to learn more about the power of Bosch washers & dryers. First up was a presentation by The Container Store, which I hadn’t really heard a lot about as they have no locations in Florida. I was impressed by not only what they offered but by their laundry room organizing tips, which follow:

• Sort your laundry to save you time
• Get the hang of it – when clothes comes out of the washer hang them to dry. A good tip is to have different colored hangers for each member of the family (brilliant idea!) that way when they are all dry you know exactly where they go.
• Protect your dedicates – use bra bags, wash bags and even lay your more delicate items on mesh pop ups (loved this item, unfortunately my picture of it didn’t come out right, but picture a fold-able sun shade and then it just pops right open and you instantly have a place to lay your items.
• Maximize your laundry area – this is a good tip for me, as mine is small but I learned how to take advantage of vertical space by stacking drawers and more from the container store.

The 800 Series by Bosch (our shirts are being washed right in front of us)

Next up was learning about the washing machines and dryers that make our life a little easier. The 800 Series washer and dryer are amazing. Getting to see them in action was a huge plus, and we all listened as each feature was being discussed. I was actually surprised by a few features, having never heard of them before. I sat there thinking, “A Washer can do that?!?”

One of my favorites was the Stain Removal cycle, which starts out at the lowest water temperature and gradually rises, because, get this, stains can be set by different temperatures of water instead of getting them out. After years of doing laundry I find this little tidbit of information very interesting, and now I know why some of the stains never went away.

This washer has child locks on it as well that lock the door right when the cycle starts. Perfect for those with young children. And if you have to open the door for any reason during a cycle (and if you are like me you always find that one piece of clothing that you missed and you want to throw in) the pause button can be pressed and the machine will lower the water temperature until it is safe to open. See below for some of my favorite features of the washer:

Product features

  • EcoAction™ Option Reduces Energy Usage by up to 20%
  • Bosch Washers Exceed Federal Energy Standards by up to 102%
  • Exceeds ENERGY STAR® 2011 Guidelines – Uses only 130 kWh/yr
  • ActiveWater turns 13 gal. into 400 gal. of washing power
  • 15 Wash cycles for more flexibility and the greatest variety of load types
  • Stain Removal Option targets the widest variety of stains in just one cycle
  • XxtraSanitary® heats wash water up 170F
  • Comforter Cycle to deep clean bulky items like comforters (love this one)
  • Quick Full cycle cleans any size load in just 45 min. every time
  • ActiveWear cycle designed to clean sports & exercise clothes
  • BabyCare cycle cleans with extra water & high temperatures
  • AquaStop® leak protection system prevents major water damage – this one will stop so many worries about flooding. The hose inside a hose protection is wonderful!

The washing machines were so quiet too, you could never tell that there was one running in the background throughout the presentation. The vibrations system that the washing machine has is amazing, the machines stay still thanks to the shock absorbers in the bottom of the machine. That paired with the machine’s software make for a very quiet experience.

I fell in love with the dryer for a few reasons. One, it has steam settings, so when your clothes are wrinkled you can just toss them in the dryer hit the refresh button which gets out odors and wrinkles and runs for 16 minutes with two bursts of steam. The wrinkle relax runs for 12 minutes with one burst of steam and the touch up runs for 20 minutes for a full load, this one in particular would totally come in handy for me as I am notorious for leaving a full load in the dryer overnight only to take it out all wrinkled. I loved that the drum inside was stainless steel and was a one piece drum, most others are 2 piece. A cool feature to the dryer also is the two metal bars it has inside that grabs clothes as they pass to determine moisture levels and the machine will adjust the time depending on that level. How cool is that? Soon these machines will be folding the clothes for you! I kid of course but they are definitely becoming high tech!

After learning all those interesting tips and details about laundry we were hungry. We walked into one of the Bosch Gallery kitchens to create our own pizza, that was a fun time. They had stations set up for pizza and fish tacos and we all split up and created our own dishes. I went to the pizza station and loved all the fresh ingredients they offered. I was half way done with mine before it dawned on me to take a picture (I was hungry :) ). I had so much fun doing that and talking with some of the other bloggers and getting to know them a little more.

After having our delicious lunch we were taken on a tour of the rest of the facility and let me just tell you right now that my pictures don’t do it justice. I literally wanted every room we walked into in my house! This is where we got to experience some of their other products and each room was jaw dropping. Here are two of my favorites:

I loved everything about the set up on the left, beautiful  stoves I tell you! And the oven on the right opens like a door! I love this oven, it is on my wish list :)

So, I learned a lot about organizing my laundry room, the 800 Series washer and dryer, had some great food and saw many rooms in the gallery that I could only dream about. But that wasn’t the end of our day by any means. Come back to see how the rest of the day went in my follow up post on the Joya Spa, and dinner at Wildfish.

I was invited on this trip to the Bosch Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona, where my travel, hotel, meals and spa treatment were provided by Bosch.
