- Ginger Teriyaki is a balance of sweet teriyaki, fragrant ginger, plus a tingly touch of wasabi that lends a new dimension and creates a modern teriyaki interpretation. It complements chicken, fish, and steak.
- All American Barbecue takes the best flavors of American barbecue and blends them into a tangy-sweet, slightly spicy rub. It has rich molasses from Memphis, tangy tomato from Kansas City, mustard, pepper and vinegar from the Carolinas, plus a wisp of smoke from Texas.
- Roasted Garlic Peppercorn features the robust flavor of roasted garlic and onions with the zing of peppercorns and a hint of Worcestershire and lavender. Its versatility has made it a best seller. It complements steaks, lamb, seafood, pork, poultry, and potatoes.
- Amazin’ Cajun is a spicy-sweet blend of piquant cayenne pepper, onion, garlic, oregano and a mélange of other Mardi Gras flavors. It brings the sublime heat of New Orleans to catfish, chicken, shrimp, and even “dirty” rice.
My Thoughts
My husband and I are avid grillers, we don’t even let the snow and negative temperatures here in Montana stop us from enjoying our weekends full of steaks and chicken. We have tried a variety of rubs and marinades over the years not being able to settle on just one. We recently started making an Asian Steak marinade with ginger and teriyaki and we loved the flavor. So we were excited to receive the Char Crust Dry-Rubs so we could experiment with new flavors, especially the Ginger Teriyaki, we wanted to see how it stacked up against our marinade. Well it really shocked us! It tasted better and took less time. The girls loved it and we couldn’t have been happier! We devoured the steak!
The following day was our chicken grilling and we usually make Thai Chicken, which is our favorite. This time though we tried the All American Barbeque and it turned out really good, gave the chicken a very distinct barbeque flavor that has been long missed for me. For some reason we never use BBQ sauce on anything and it was good to bring that flavor back without the mess.
Can’t wait for this weekend’s grilling when we try the Roasted Garlic Peppercorn and the Amazin’ Cajun dry-rubs. My family loves the two we tried and will be ordering more to have on hand all the time and can’t wait to share them with our family when we get home!!! We HIGHLY recommend Char Crust Dry-Rub Seasonings to everyone, especially those looking for a restaurant taste meal in your own home!
I have been given the opportunity to host a giveaway of these delicious dry-rub seasonings. One lucky Dirty t Shirt reader will win the selection shown above. Please see rules to enter to win today!

The purpose of using dry rub spices is to create a balance of salty, spicy, sweet and savory flavors to highlight the best flavor of the meat. Chicken dry rubs emphasize white and black pepper in the spice mix to bring out the flavor of the chicken.
I would also love to get hold of another copy of your wonderful book about the Redwood tree and the whale, the title slips my mind, but that one also was never returned to me, which doesnt surprise me as they are such wonderful books, who would want to part with them !!
