Clorox has launched Simple & Surprising, a weekly e-journal written by various guest bloggers (http://www.clorox.com/our_story/understanding_bleach/fall_fun.php). It is all about real-life moments offering reality-checked simple tips and prizes to pat yourself on the back for all your hard work. The first post features fall-themed crafts to bring the outdoors in and keep kids entertained indoors now that the weather has turned colder.
The topic for December is all about holiday, simplified. Anne-Marie Nichols of This Mama Cooks! will share hints about ways to ease the pressure with simple recipes and tips for cleaning up quickly afterwards. It’s time you enjoyed the holidays too for once!

My favorite winter activity is the same as alice’s, curling up on the couch to read. Since that’s taken, I’ll say my favorite family activity in the winter time is playing with my son. We play board games, build things with Legos, write our own stories and illustrate them, all kinds of stuff and there is no real cost because it’s all stuff we already have.

main entry: my favorite winter activity is making all my seasonal crafts early for the craft fairs I sell them in so my work is done a head of time so I enjoy crafting by the warm fireplace, sipping my french vanilla coffee, and listening to Elvis tunes. & hopefully watching the snow fall as we have them.
