Dinosaur Train: Dinosaur Big City Screening Party
Buddy and his Pteranodon family embark on a journey on the Dinosaur Train, gathering all their theropod friends together to travel to a really big Theropod Club Convention, which is being held in Laramidia, the “Dinosaur Big City.” Among the travelers is King Cryolophosaurus, a singing theropod who is more than a little nervous about giving a concert in front of his biggest audience ever in the Big City. Once the Dinosaur Train arrives in Laramidia, Buddy and the Pteranodon family explore the crowded “dinosaur metropolis.” At the Theropod Convention, the kids reunite with Annie Tyrannosaurus and her parents Delores and Boris, and they all meet the multi-horned mayor, Mayor Kosmoceratops. In the end, Buddy and Tiny help King Cryolophosaurus overcome his stage fright, and he wows a large dinosaur audience when he sings his new song, “Whole Lotta Theropods” at the Convention.
This past weekend I had the privilege of hosting a pre-screening of the new Dinosaur Train movie Dinosaur Big City with my daughter and a few of her friends and they had so much fun.
The morning started with my little one helping me set up the party table where we laid a runner and stuffed the popcorn goodie bags full of fun movie stuff. Then we took some movie tickets and placed them around the goodie bags, popcorn and the fun figures of the famous dinosaurs
After the children arrived and saw the fun layout they each took a bag and a ticket off the table, and they had to give them to my daughter to get access to the couch to sit and watch the movie (that was totally her idea too). The kids loved the movie and I think it had a great message of friends standing beside you to help you through tough times, in this case to help King Cryolophosaurus overcome his fear of performing in front of a big audience, which I hope my daughter actually understood as she too has issues with that, not so much in performing but speaking.
After the movie was over we served pizza and juice to the kids and just let them run around. Funny thing is they were all running around pretending to be dinosaurs, roaring and all. They really had a great time and they can’t wait to see more Dinosaur Train on PBS Kids.
Due to parents requesting their children not be in the pictures on the internet I have only posted pictures of my daughter during this party.
I was contacted by 360 Public Relations to host a pre-screening of the new Dinosaur Train movie and host a party where they provided all decorations and party favors. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.
