Safeway and Warner Bros. Looney Tunes have teamed up to create Eating Right Kids to bring you meals, snacks, cereals and drinks your kids will love-and you’ll feel good about. Eating Right Kids is a full line of foods that are not only tasty, but better for children: It has been formulated to standards based on the most recent dietary recommendations and regulations from several federal and state agencies.

I remember being in school as a kid and opening up my lunch box to find healthy foods like carrots and apple slices. I didn’t want that, I wanted to gooey doughnut my friend had or the bag of potato chips another had. I didn’t know what was good for me, but I know now. Being a mom has made me see things in a totally different light then when I was a kid. I want the best for my kids. And that is what I got when my Eating Right Kids package arrived in the mail from Team Mom.

My kids and I were anxious to try out this line, me more for the nutrition, the kids for the cartoon characters they know and love (remember as kids we knew naught of good, healthy foods). We tried the following:

Berry Bar

Kids Mixed Berry Milk Chocolate Coating Chewy Bars – These go-anywhere bars have plenty of good-for-you ingredients, with just the right amount of chocolate to make them extra kid-friendly. A good source of calcium, with 6 grams of whole grains per serving and no high fructose corn syrup.

Fruit Cup

Kids Mixed Fruit Fruit Cups – These single-serve containers go anywhere! Peaches, pears, pineapple, and cherries in naturally flavored extra-light syrup, with 100% of the daily value of vitamin C, 15% of the daily value of vitamin A, and 10% of the daily value of calcium per serving.

Apple Juice

Kids 100% Juice – Apple – Bugs and his Looney Tunes friends are ready to help your kids get 100% of their daily value of vitamin C, with no corn syrup in sight. Each serving also provides 10% of their daily value of calcium.

I will have to say I am surprised at two things. One – the Eating Right Kids line of food is delicious! That is what I got to try of it, which leads me to surprise number two. My tween who is a picky eater and my toddler who never sits still long enough to eat ate everything and then turned and asked for more. Holy Moly! I am so pleased they liked it and that it is good for them, something I am very aware of now.

And even though my kids don’t “go” to school because they are homeschooled, I still feed them lunch and I am so happy to have found a great food source in Eating Right Kids. I recommend this product line to everyone. You can find Eating Right Kids products at Safeway stores.
