This is me, or rather it was me before a trip to Hair Cuttery. A bit of a back story, you see I am not getting any younger, in fact my head had a ton of grey hairs that I fought on a daily basis, trying to hide them and just in general not feeling very pretty. That is until my fun pamper me day at Hair Cuttery, which couldn’t have come at a better time because two days from the time I went in was my romantic weekend getaway with my husband for our Valentine’s Day celebration. It was also to be the first time I did more than get a hair cut at Hair Cuttery. I love that they are so much more than a place for a quick cut and the prices can’t be beat!

So I walked in to my local Hair Cuttery while running errands to make an appointment for a Color Escape package and I was surprised to be told that they could take me right away. So I put my hair in the hands of a man named Robert, I admit I was a little worried how it would come out, but Robert knew what he was doing and I loved the outcome. He walked me to my chair where we went over the color book to see which was the best color that I wanted. I was looking for something auburn but wanted to take baby steps adding it and I most definitely wanted the grey covered! So off he went to mix my color and when he came back he started painting my hair (as my youngest daughter calls it).

After sitting under the dryer and washing my hair we went back to his station for a new cut and blowdry. I watched intently as he snipped away my hair and saw that he was cutting it in a way that I hadn’t had done before and I liked what I was seeing. I was very excited to see the finished product! After three and a half hours I was finally done and what I saw in the mirror not only made me smile but brought a tear to my eye, I actually looked good…no, I looked GREAT! I thanked Robert for making me pretty and giving me the confidence to not only hold my head high but it allowed me to feel good about myself. I was thrilled. And what’s more is when I got home my husband said he loved it! That was all I needed! I will be making my three month appointment with Robert again and the next time I am taking a bigger step by adding more auburn into my hair, and I can’t wait!
