FirstBIKE is designed for ages 22 months to 5 years. Its minimum seat height of 12 inches (with Lowkit accessory) enables even 2-year-olds to master the sensation of keeping their balance within hours. Weighing only 8.6 lbs., FirstBIKE is almost three times lighter than a traditional pedal bike with training wheels. This balance bike is truly a model of great design and craftsmanship – instead of using training wheels or inflexible materials like wood or metal, FirstBIKE was designed without pedals and with a flexible and durable high-tech frame. Only the highest quality materials are used for every FirstBIKE, including a high-tech injection-molded composite frame that doesn’t scratch, splinter, swell or rust thanks to its frame and fork made from 30% glass fiber reinforced nylon composite. All of this affords tots who train on FirstBIKE safety, balance and pride from the start. This allows them to smoothly transition to pedal bikes without ever needing training wheels!

My Thoughts

The FirstBIKE has been an amazing experience for my daughter. She had tried to ride a bike with training wheels awhile back but didn’t like the wobble effect the wheels did and refused to get back on the bike. I was sad that she wouldn’t ride it because I really wanted her to learn how to ride a bike so we could all bike together.

When FirstBIKE arrived she was wary about trying it out but after some persuasion and a cookie ( :) ) she did. And that is when she found her freedom on a bike. She kept going and going and running along beside me and almost instantly raising her feet off the ground to coast. I literally had to pull her off the bike when it was time to go in for the night. Everday she comes home from school she asks to go riding on it and I gladly take her. She has learned how to balance in just three days where she can coast for long distances. This has been so helpful when my husband and I go on our walks because just a week ago we had to wait for her or sometimes even carry her the rest of the way. Now we have to ask her to wait up for us as she flies past us. She absolutely loves her FirstBIKE and we love the confidence and freedom it has given her. Just watch how good she is doing…

I have been given the opportunity to host a giveaway where one lucky Dirty t Shirt readers can win a FirstBIKE STREET bike for their little one in one of the following colors: pink, blue, red or green. Please see rules below to enter to win today!
