I just had to share this company and their product with my readers because it is such an amazing one, and a brilliant idea too. Let me introduce you to Fretlight by Optek Music Systems Inc.

What is a Fretlight you may be asking, well here is the answer:

The Fretlight® Guitar is a real, six-string, great quality electric guitar that utilizes a truly revolutionary patented technology, an interactive light system, that allows you, the player, to learn guitar and see what you need to play right under your fingers.  Notes, scales, chords, progressions, lessons, songs, riffs, you name it.  Are you still going back and forth from a book, diagram, or chart top the neck of your guitar?  You need the information under your fingers!  Think about it, where are the letters and numbers for the keyboard you’ve got in front of you – on a piece of paper to the side of it? – NO! They’re right on the keys, under your fingers, where it makes the most sense.

I for one have tried to play a guitar before but gave up due to losing my place in books and even some online websites. The interactive light system shows you where to play no different than how the letters on your computer’s keyboard show you which keys do what. You press the “A” button and an “A” pops up on the monitor. This is how we learn to type, so why should the guitar be any different?

The LED lights are reliable and do lot burn out like light bulbs. This is an amazing product and I love that my son has picked up guitar playing because of the Fretlight, we actually competed to see who got to learn to play for the day. I love music and being able to sit down and listen to a song that he has learned is literally music to my ears and it touches my heart and makes me proud. Thank you Fretlight!!
