Happy 95th Birthday Grandpa

As some of you may have heard my grandfather has been doing really bad the last few weeks. He has been in and out of the hospital for tests and they have found that he is bleeding internally and they have pretty much said he is shutting down. Well today is his birthday and my sister Julie decided to throw him a great birthday party at the rehab home he has been living at for the last month. It was very special, and sad, I couldn’t help but think that this was his last birthday. But you know what? He was in such a good mood, smiling, clapping and enjoying family. Below are a few special pictures from his party.
The blanket is something my daughter made for him and he loved it and wouldn’t let it go.

Reading this made me cry and reflect on the wonderful memories I had of my grandfather who recently passed away. I am so glad you are able to create some great memories with him and be there for him through all these endeavors. He looks wonderful for his age and seems to be in great spirits. Cherish every moment and I pray that when the time comes to say goodbye he is able to go in peace!! God Bless you all!! I will keep you guys in my prayers!! Miss ya xoxox

Happy Birthday Grandpa! What a wonderful milestone. My great grandmother lived til she was 101. She had a hard time hearing, but was still putting together 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles til the very end.
