Video Editor 8.0

honestech Video Editor 8.0 is a video editing software that is easy enough for beginners and provides many creative options. The Easy Mode is made up of simple 3-step process and is recommended for beginners. The Advanced Mode has powerful editing tools including the timeline and various special effects to help you create professional quality video.

Simple 3-step process

  1. Import & Split – Import and split video clips. Rearrange video sequence as needed.
  2. Add Effects – Add transitions, special effects and titles to video.
  3. Publish – Output your video onto DVD or file format.

Easy Mode

Video Editor 8.0 Easy Mode

  • One Cut Editing – Easily edit video clips just like filmstrip cutting.
  • Automated Title/Credits – Easily add intro/ending credits and on-screen text to your video.
  • Automated Transition Effects – Create exciting video with various transition effects.
  • Blu-ray Disc Burning – Perfect for burning high-definition video that requires greater storage.
  • Real-time Preview – Preview special effects, transitions, and overlays without rendering.
  • Custom DVD Menu – Easily create your unique video disc menu with theme options.

Advanced Mode

Video Editor 8.0 Advanced Mode - Provides powerful editing options including the timeline and 245 visual effects to help you create professional quality video.

  • File – Import personal videos, digital photos, and audio files.
  • Overlay – Create picture-in-picture effects.
  • Capture – Capture from camcorder, TV, webcam, microphone and more.
  • Titles – Add various on-screen text effects.
  • Effects – Add various special effects to enhance the quality of your video.
  • Output – Supports MPEG, AVI, DV-AVI and WMV formats.
  • Transitions – Add transition effects between scenes.
  • Disc Burning – Output your video on DVD, CD or Blu-ray Disc.

Both my son and I have used the advanced mode on this program and we love it. Our favorite thing is that we can create our own disc menus and that we can watch our creations on game consoles, which is actually our form of watching just about anything in our house. We recommend this product!
