Dealing with migraines has become a way of life for me. In my 20s they would come and go, sometimes being gone for over six months, but as I have gotten older they seem to stick around a lot more and are sometimes unbearable to deal with. The light sensitivity, the pain so bad that it make you nauseous it just makes you miserable. Add a busy house with kids running around screaming, telephones ringing and regular daily activity and it makes me want to curl up in a ball with ear plugs, an eye mask and a blanket. Problem is I can’t let a migraine slow me down.
That is where Excedrin Migraine comes in. Back when I was younger I would just take regular aspirin and deal with it, but that stopped working long ago. I think as I have aged my migraines are mostly triggered by stress or things that really upset me, although a few over the years have just popped up out of no where. It is impossible for me to stay away from stress, it is in everyone’s lives one way or another. I do try to make things not bother me as much but that only works half the time.
All I know is when I have a migraine the only thing that has worked is Excedrin Migraine, taking that and then curling up with a blanket, eye mask and ear plugs, you know to help make it go away faster! But seriously, I am so thankful that I have something that works when my migraines come on, and while I am actively trying to make everything around me better life steps in and makes it not so sometimes and the stress does lead to a migraine. I even started a migraine diary on my computer to write about when they come on so maybe I can see a trend, something that maybe I need to stop doing, eating, etc. I have seen an increase in them since my move and I have read that that may be caused by dehydration, also lack of proper sleep sometimes may be the cause for me.

Oh, The Things People Would Do….:
Excedrin® Migraine and the National Headache Foundation teamed up to conduct a survey* that brings to light just how much people with migraines suffer – and how eager they are to lessen the pain and reduce the disruption in their lives. And what’s even more remarkable are the trade-offs people would make if they didn’t have to endure the pain of a migraine.
For example, did you know that:
- The average migraine lasts for 12 hours for those who don’t take any medication
- Nearly two-thirds (61%) of adult migraine sufferers would willingly wait in a long line rather than suffer from migraine pain
- A third (33%) would give up five percent of their annual salary
- Other workers would toss their vacation days (26%) or weekends (17%)
- And more than half (52%) would rather visit in-laws

I have terrible headaches and migraines on a regular basis. I’m not just saying this because this is an Excedrin post, but I LOVE Excedrin. IF I don’t have Excedrin and have no way of getting any, I have to lay down in a cool, dark room with a cold washcloth on my head. (with two little ones that’s more like wishful thinking)!

I suffer from hormonal ocular migraines and get them at least 10 times a month. At the first sign, I take medication, drink lots of water and try and take it easy. Avoiding my triggers is also another tip – caffeine, bright lights, etc.

I suffer from migraine for years and I usually stay away from light/sound and sleep it off.
Fortunately I don’t, but my hubby does sometimes. He lays down or puts a freezing cold cloth around his neck if its too bad. This really helps.
Hardly ever for me…but when I do get the occassional one, caffiene and sleep help me!
I do not, but I do use excederin extra strength sometimes after I work out for to achy and the perk of caffine.

I do not suffer from migraines often, but when I get one….whew! An Excedrin Migraine would do the trick.
I’ve had migraines before and never tried excedrine. I usually stay in a dark quiet room. Would love to try this product.
I use to have migraines quite often. When I had my hysterectomy in 1998 they seemed to diminish for a while then returned when I started dealing with high blood pressure. Since my surgery a few weeks back, along with the expected weight loss as a result of my surgery, my BP has dropped to normal and the headaches have gone away!

I get migraines and usually have to lay back (but not down) with something over my eyes and no sounds and some Exedrin Migraine. I just read if you eat ice cream right when you feel one coming on it can help. That seems worth trying.
I do suffer from migraines and the only thing that helps me is laying down in a dark room with complete silence.
I do, especially during certain times of the month. I am not sure they really go away, but if I lay my head down for a bit (if I get a chance), it sometimes alleviates the pain.

Since my migraines have gotten more frequent, I’ve found that if i take 2 of the exedrin migraine AND put a cool patch (see them in the kids section to bring down fevers) on my forehead, to help unconstrict the blood flow, at the beginning, I can curb and abate a migraine. with our new presc plan, my migraine meds are $80 a scrib, so if I can avoid using them til I have to, all the better!

At least twice a month and they can last anywhere from 1 to 3 days. I usually have to lie down in the dark because light hurts my eyes. I often look like I’ve had a stroke because they’re so bad, one eye droops. Excedrin does help many times but sometimes I have to move on to the injections my doctor gave me to try.

I have had bad headaches for years. I recently found out that I had disc narrowing and arthritis in my neck too..real bummer! I use the menthol blue goo cream on my neck and was taking tylenol but I bet Excedrin would work better..gonna go buy some today. Would love to win this gift basket! Thanks for the opportunity!

I luckily do not, but a family member does. They usually lay down in the dark to help with the pain, I think.
I only get them if I’m outside in the sun with sunglasses. The only thing that helps is to take a tylenol pm and darken the room completely.
Yes-it’s hard to get rid of a migraine but some of the things that relieve some of the pain is turning out all the lights. Laying down with a wet wash cloth on my head and over my eyes.
