Our trade publishing partners use SharedBook to provide consumers with the opportunity to make their favorite books even more valuable and special through the addition of personalized pages. These custom creations maintain the artistic and creative integrity of the underlying work while allowing the reader’s affinity for the work to increase with the new version, an on-demand one-of-a-kind rarity. One example: the addition of a personalized dedication page to the Golden Books classic Poky Little Puppy in our store devoted to personalized titles for children.

Inscribe-it.com is a genius company that allows you to personalize books in a way that I have not seen before. And when I was asked to review the process I was so excited and knew exactly what I wanted to do, give my favorite book from when I was a child with a dedication to my daughter for her 10th birthday.

Heidi

For those that do not know, here is what Heidi is about:

Author: Johanna Spyri
Illustrator: Scott McKowen

What happens when a little orphan girl is forced to live with her cold and frightening grandfather? The heartwarming answer has engaged children for more than a century, both on the page and on the screen. Johanna Spyri’s beloved story offers youngsters an endearing and intelligent heroine, a cast of unique and memorable characters, and a fascinating portrait of a small Alpine village.

I do not know why this book always stood out for me in my childhood, but I do know that I have lost count of the many times I have read it. And because it had a special place in my heart as a child I wanted to pass that on to my daughter. And Inscribe-it.com gave me the chance to not only give my daughter a special hardcover copy but I was also able to add a special dedication to it. Below is how a dedication page can look, it is not mine as that was special I only want shared with my daughter, but you can see what you can add to it.

Dedication Page

And with hundreds of titles and great categories you will find that special one to give as a gift to your child, mom dad or grandparent. Here are the categories you can browse by: Boys 1-5, Boys 6-12, Girls 1-5, Girls 6-12, Teens, Moms, Dads. So be sure to stop by Inscribe-it.com for your special, unique gift for a loved one. These really make memorable gifts!

My 8 year old niece, Kelly and I have a special bond. She loves to help me in my garden. Her favorite are the garden gnomes, which she still believes come alive at night. her favorite picture book when she was 2 was about a garden gnome that got lost. We would go through it hundreds of times looking for the details, then looking for those things in my garden. so, the ‘Secret Garden’ would be a perfect gift, especially since she is upset that her dad will be away for her birthday this year.
