I was recently honored with the chance to learn more about Smuckers when I was invited to Orrville, Ohio. I learned so many things that I didn’t know like some of the brands they have and how jam is made but the one thing that stands out in my mind is I learned about family, about love. The warmth the Smucker family has is amazing and infectious, and at that particular time in my life I soaked it all in and really felt like I was one of the family.
Over the next few days I would like to share with you all what I learned not only about Smucker’s but the wonderful PR people at Cohn & Wolfe and an amazing set of bloggers who have become friends. This event really surprised me and left me feeling all warm and then really sad when it was all over, I would have loved it to go on forever! Well here goes…
I started by beginning my traveling at 5am when a car came to pick me up and take me to the airport. I was so tired but looking forward to sleeping on the 1st plane from Orlando to Memphis. I found that was not possible as I was so excited about this trip. I made it to Memphis with no trouble, found my next gate and preceeded to get on the next plane to Cleveland. THE SMALLEST PLANE I HAVE EVER BEEN ON! I was kind of wary about this but my flight actually was a lot smoother than I thought it was going to be. And when we started our descent and came out of the clouds I was met by so many beautiful colors, the kind you only see up North, simply breathtaking!
I have not been to many places in my life so traveling is always new to me and I love taking pictures, even if I don’t know what I am taking a picture of.
After being picked up at the airport we were en route to have lunch at the Crop Bistro & Bar. I finally met up with the other bloggers and enjoyed an amazing lunch! We had a fun time at the restaurant where I was in awe of the Hot Balsamic Popcorn (shown below), the big burgers and the great service. We had great conversation with each other and I was so pleased that I actually had a chance to talk to some of the other bloggers who I had met before and get to know the ones I didn’t. This was one great group of bloggers…

Our great time was just beginning. After lunch we were treated to a VIP tour of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where we got to go in the vault and see some amazing items. I was in awe of how many singers and bands items they had on display and I got some great pictures of what we could take pictures of.
We were all ready for a rest after that whirl wind tour so we got back on our shuttle to head to the hotel to get ready for dinner. And what an amazing dinner it was. We went to Ken Stewart’s Lodge and oh my gosh let me tell you the cozy room had me wishing I lived somewhere cold so I had a reason to have a fireplace going. We ordered drinks and set out to greet people from Smuckers, Cohn Wolfe as well as just relax and unwind. I met so many wonderful people and had great conversations with everyone.

I had the most amazing food at Ken Stewart’s Lodge. A Delmonico steak that was bigger than I thought, Truffle fries that were amazing and a Sweet Potato Souffle that was literally TO DIE FOR!!! I loved it so much I wanted to order 5 more to take home. Oh my gosh I can’t even tell you how good it was! Dinner was really a nice relaxing time full of great people, great conversations and amazing food! I had so much fun!
And after an amazing day we headed back to the hotel for a night of rest before our big day with the Smucker family. Stay tuned for the next full day of events in my next part of the Smucker’s event.

WOW! What an amazing trip! I’m jealous! Thank for you sharing. Perhaps someday I’ll get to go on a tour of a big company like that. How cool would that be? Memories to last a lifetime.
Sounds great! Can’t wait to hear more!
It was so much fun! I am having so much fun writing about it and reliving my experience there. Plus I have been telling everybody how awesome Smucker’s is. It’s easy to do because it’s true! Woo hoo!
You are so funny, Jennifer! I wonder if Ken Stewart’s will send me to-go orders of the sweet potato souffle and deliver them to me in NY??
