Inside the J.M Smucker Company Pantry | Day Two Part One
Day two started bright and early, and I was very excited because we were going to the company store for breakfast and to meet members of the Smucker family. The ride over was fun and as soon as I saw the store I fell in love!
I felt like a little kid in a candy store and immediately wanted to pull up a sleeping back and camp out right there or have the store replicated in my home. It was so big, beautiful and festive. There was breakfast for us and we got to meet Richard Smucker the current co-CEO (he shares that with his brother), Mark Smucker who is a 5th generation member of the family as well as his cousin Kimi. I was so honored to meet them and hear about how this business has stayed in the family and you know what you can tell how much they care about it. They have such a passion when talking about their company that just comes out and makes you want to hang on to every word! I was so happy that they could join us for breakfast.
After breakfast we had a mini shopping spree where I stocked up on delicious Apple Butter, Smuckers socks and a wonderful cinnamon smelling apple that now sits on my desk. Then we headed back to the shuttle where we were taken to their offices for more learning and a lot more food! Here are my parting pictures from the store.
The wall of jars was amazing you really has to see it, very cool indeed!
Stay tuned for a part three for the rest of the day, still going through my notes on all the amazing things I have learned about Smuckers and their family of products.
