Ah, summer, the time for camps, vacations and all sorts of warm weather activities. This is a busy time indeed, but Jif has some great tips to kick off the summer season right and make your vacation easy and fun for everyone!

  • Get the whole family involved in planning getaways and have each person choose at least one activity so everyone is looking forward to the trip.

My most recent travel was our move across country and getting the whole family involved was the perfect touch. Each of the kids got to tell us one thing they would like to see along the way and they each had their own snack bags. They also had a lot of fun playing travel games like I-spy, funny thing about that is every time they started to play the game we were in flat lands where you could see for miles, but it was all the same :)

    we keep some chex mis in travel bags and grab one when we hit the road. we make our own, so we bag it when we make it. it’s filling and kiddo really likes it, so it and an apple can fudge for a meal if pressed!

    Traveling snacks always include those little peanut better cups and a loaf of bread and a box of crackers. A knife to spread and we’re good to go. For shorter trips pre-made peanut butter sandwiches. Nutritional and filling, and they save me a lot of money not spent on fast food.

Packing golf clubs for the hubby that way we can stop at local golf courts when traveling keeps him occupied!! I pack peanut butter sandwiches, apples and peanut butter, pop tarts, and goldfish.   289. We like to take crunchy granola bars, juices, water, and the little pre-packaged apple dippers. I haven’t seen Jif to Go in my local store, but I will keep my eye out, because sweet snacks aren’t in our travel repertoire, but this is the kind of dipping snack that the kids like and that doesn’t hype them up!

    I keep my family on the go while we’re traveling by having 100 calorie packs with us. It’s enough to keep them happy but not overeat. I’m always amazed at how many are available and some like the Rice Krispie Bars have even less than 100 calories. Those little packets aren’t messy either.

    I keep my family on the go with plenty of activites this Summer. We’ve taken 2 car trips to Branson, MO and numerous road trips from our home to Tulsa, OK and Red Oak, OK to visit family members (all are hours away from us). With three kids, snacks for the road trips is always crucial to avoid the dreaded drive thru’s along the way. I’ve gotten creative and put grapes into empty water bottles, that’s one of our favorites. These little peanut butter cups sure look handy! My kids love peanut butter on everything and I could see us getting some real use out of this product!

    Peanut Butter of course is a main thing to keep my family on the go.I also inculde fresh fruits, yogurts & Lance Snack crackers, fresh juices & even Chocolate milk. Myself I can buy a quart of choclate milk & drink it all in minutes with a peanut butter sandwich ..now I am hungry!
