Kellogg’s New Froot Loops and Apple Jacks Now With Fiber

As a parent you know how hard it can be to get your kids to eat a healthy meal. Fiber is one thing that most kids don’t get enough of. Kellogg’s has now made that step easier for us. They have added fiber to their Froot Loops and Apple Jacks cereals, which now have three grams of fiber per serving. How great is that? Now my kids can have their favorite cereals and get something that is so important for them to have. These cereals also include ingredients such as whole-grain corn flour, whole-grain oat flour, oat fiber and soluble corn fiber. In addition, Kellogg Company plans to extend the added fiber benefits to their other cereal lines over the next year.
This is very great news to me as I am constantly worried about my kids diet and what they do and don’t eat. I was always one to try to hide veggies in their food or drop vitamin drops in their juices. Now I don’t have to be a bad guys and tell them no when they want their favorite cereals. And with a side by side taste test I can say there is no difference in taste at all. The real taste test came from my kids who I didn’t tell about the switch and they ate the whole bowl of cereal, each and every one of them! I told them afterward that their cereal was different in a good way and they said they couldn’t tell at all. My son even griped a bit about me pulling one over on him and said that at least the cereal tasted the same unlike some of my other concoctions made to disguise the “good stuff”. Score one for mom and Kellogg’s for making it happen! For more information on fiber and Kellogg’s please go to the Kellogg’s Nutrition site.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Kellogg’s and received boxes of Froot Loops and Apple Jacks and a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.
