Education is always important to me and with technology the way it is today my kids have a huge advantage over when I was a kid. Now they have products like LeapFrog’s Tag Reading System, where with the touch of a wand a book is read to you word by word and the adventures of learning are just beginning. I am amazed by this and am so happy that my children, especially the youngest one, get to experience this.

Abby has had a great opportunity to learn about the Human Body and Kindergarten with the Tag Reading System and she is having a blast with both of them. Today’s post will focus on the Human Body DiscoveryPack and what it has been teaching her. First thing I noticed was just how much information was in this pack, it all comes on a board that folds up like a book, with one side showing the organs of your body and explaining what your skin is and what your body can do, and the other side has your Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Respiratory and Circulatory, and Nervous Systems all which are interactive and detailed. The end panel is a little game you can play with one or two players about making healthy choices.

She has learned all about the five senses and about what her heart and lungs do for her. She is reading the Human Body Discovery Pack on a daily basis and learning more and more and I am so pleased with how much she has learned so far and that it is all interesting to her, which I wasn’t sure about before I showed it to her. One of her favorite things about the Human Body Discovery Pack is when you are learning about the five senses the touch feature talks about different types of touches like hot and cold and then yells OWWWW!!!! and she just giggles at that. I love that she is having fun while learning.

Stay tuned next week for my post about our experience with the Get Ready for Kindergarten book.
