Mary Kaye: Music Box | CD Review & Giveaway

I love to be exposed to new music, especially children’s music as some of what is out there today can be scary. I was pleasantly surprised by Mary Kaye’s Music Box. It has a down to earth feel to it and I love her warbly voice, and smooth lyrics. My toddler really got to dancing to her music in a slow hip shaking way and my tween said she liked it a lot. It is definitely different in a good way and I really enjoyed it too. My favorite song is the “Hot Chocolate Fairy”, but the whole CD is great!

I remember Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I had a teddy bear that played the song. My parents even have a tape recording of me singing it in my tiny little 2-year-old voice.

I’m a grandmother now. The first song I remember is Frere Jacques. This was a French song my Dad used to sing to me. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
Itsy Bitsy spider would be the first I remember. Thanks for the chance.

My mom had a record of the songs from Sesame Street. One of the songs I remember was “Somebody Come and Play.”

Aside from the songs from Sesame Street that still reside in my head from about 35 years ago, the ones I remember most are from this album that had songs like “On Top of Spaghetti” sung to the tune of “On Top of Old Smokey.” I can still sing the whole song.
