My Tot Clock Logo

This is yet another one of those genius inventions that you just wish you thought of! And the story of how this all started is very inspiring to anyone with an idea and the willpower to make things happen. Read this story here

My Tot Clock

My Tot Clock comes with the “Welcome To Children’s Dreamland” Tot Clock Treasure, the “Night Sky” Faceplate, AC Adapter, and 4 AA Batteries.

This clock is an amazing clock and it has helped me in so many ways that I have lost track. My toddler has one heck of a time falling asleep and staying asleep. We have tried noise machines and while they work they did not help her know when it was morning, noon or night. The colors of the face of the clock at these times helps her so much. She knows when the face is blue that it is night time, when it’s yellow it is day time, when it is on green she is encouraged to get something done (usually putting her toys back in her bin) and when it is red she is on time out. Now when on red she knows mommy isn’t happy and does everything in her power to get out of having to sit for a bit.

My Tot Clock Back View

The creator of this awesome clock, Pamela Gonzalez, has thought of everything. The back of the clock looked a little like I had to have a programming degree to work it, but no worries it is so easy to use :) With these controls you can:

• Turn the clock on and off
• Set the hours and minutes
• Set the analog clock
• Set the Current Time, Bed Time, Wake Time, Nap Duration, Discipline Duration, and Encourage Duration
• Set wake music and volume
• Set Story and volume
• Set Music, Music & White Noise or off for bedtime and nap time
• And my favorite You can dim the blue light that shines at night. With 5 illumination levels you will find one that  doesn’t keep your child up but allows them to see at night. Perfect for my toddler.

I really enjoy using the My Tot Clock with my daughter, she seems to be getting on a somewhat more normal schedule than she was on previously. The light up face has really been beneficial to my teaching her about time in a way that a toddler can understand. I am very impressed with the clock and recommend it to everyone who is trying to get their children on a schedule and help them tell what time of the day or night it really is.

Pamela has been so very generous and has offered me a My Tot Clock to Give away to one lucky Dirty Shirt reader. See rules below to enter today!

Just last weekend we took the kids away. At 2:30 the baby woke up screaming. I looked at the clock saw a 7 and figured it was 7 am and time for us to get up and moving. After 15 minutes of screaming, waking DH and the 3 year old up I looked at the clock again to see that it was actually only 3 am. Must have been 247 when I looked the first time. I obviously needed more sleep in several different ways.

My darling daughter has been sleep challenged since her birth! We have tried several times to explain that 5:30 am is not wake-up time, but she wakes up raring to go. We have tried a digital clock and tried for her to understand waiting for the #6, but if there is any #6 on the clock, i.e. 5:16am, she thinks that counts. I also like the idea of timed activities for practicing name writing and the time-out idea. What a great clock!

I don’t have a great story, just that my 2 yr old keep getting up so early. I don’t mind 6:30am, 6am would be fine…but 5:30am is too much for me. This clock “might” help.

In one bedroom we have an 11 year old who loves to sleep. But in the other bedroom we have a 3 y/o and a 4 y/o. The 3 y/o refuses to cooperate with bedtime. We put her to bed at 8 – she usually goes to sleep about 10. Her brother, on the other hand, falls right to sleep but gets up with the sun. Every day around 5am we hear “I’m awaaaake.” Neither of them will nap much anymore. And I’m on chemo, so I’m perpetually exhausted.

BOY OH BOY do I need sleep!

  16. When my grandson was 2 1/2 he went for a day of shopping with me. He’d been saying he wanted to play with the ball when we got home, so the first thing we did was go to the back yard for a bit and kicked the ball around. We came back in and I went to put the groceries away before getting him down for a nap. When I went to get him there he was at the bottom of the stairs…on his knees, little rear end sticking in the air, head laying on the bottom step…sound asleep! Yes, I have pictures :)

well it started out with her waking up 5-7 times a night I had no idea what was going on till she was about 3 months she started throwing her head back really weird so i got her checked out and turns out she had acid reflex. I put her on medicine then she only started waking up about 3 times a night. I was so exhausted! It didn’t get better till she was about 1. now she is 21 months and she is teething like crazy and having a hard time sleeping AGAIN! I am dying i need some sleep or a little break for once!

I need sleep! I have 3 children with the first two being 12 months and 10 days apart. Having 2 in diapers was fun. Then came along our youngest. They are 7,6 and 3 now and still seem to wake me up in the middle of the night for oddball things. And no matter what time they go to bed they are always up by 7:30am. So I always jokingly tell them that when they are teenagers I will be in their room every saturday morning at 7:30am repaying the favor :) Thank you for the chance!

  78. Michael (almost 3) must have the radio on to avoid a naptime fight. He fights sleep with the best of them at nighttime. There is no point in me even trying to sleep before 10PM because I’d be getting up putting him back in bed the whole time. He’s also suffered from night terrors since about 18 months which wakes him up between 1-4 times each night. And he is a GROUCH in the morning if you wake him up early. On the rare nights he goes to sleep at a decent hour Joshua (18 months) decides to have a rough night.

The I Need Sleep story is more for my daughter than myself now–since I have retired, I generally have no problems getting enough. But she has 3 generations in her house, one a 4 mo old who is doing pretty well at sleeping through the night but is already giving indications that he may be a sleep fighter as a toddler; her husband has to get up at 1 am to run his postal route; one son has to be at work at 6 am, the other at 7, and all of them do NOT wake easily. Multiple types of alarm clocks have been tried, but the only fail safe is Cathy!

Really, I do need sleep. We’ve put our toddler into a toddler bed now, and to get him to fall asleep, I end up parking it on the floor right next to his bed. Of course, I end up falling asleep too, and then wake up at odd hours…deciding whether or not to go to my own room with my deserted husband, or just stay where I am to keep from waking the baby. I really, really need sleep. The Tot Clock would help him adjust to a big boy routine, I think.

When I was in the Army, we went on reforger mission in Germany during the Iran Hostage Crisis. I was a truck driver who took supplies to the ground troops. It turned out we didn’t get to sleep for several days . We were giving out supplies during the day and drive without lights at night to get more supplies for the next day. Believe me, it is HARD to drive at night without sleep and without the lights on in a convoy. I was choosen for a mission. But instead of going on it …… I had a complete mental breakdown and cussed out the Leutenent (on doodoo list now) in charge. The soldier that did go on the mission had a serious wreck that almost took his life and disfigured him forever. I was wrong to disobey an order .. but I don’t regret it.

My baby needs the sleep! He has been so scared of monsters lately and so needs something that isn’t attached to the wall for him to have a night light for! I think the music, stories, and white noise would really help him to tune out the those bumps in the night too! Plus, he would love to start learning how to tell time and what a fun way to learn!

For three years my son went to bed well on his own and slept through the night. From out of nowhere, 6 months ago, things changed. He wants to get up and talk to you after he’s in bed, getting up several times with all kinds of arcane questions, etc. If that weren’t enough, he’s also started waking earlier and loudly asking if it’s time for breakfast, waking the rest of the house up in the meantime. His little brother has always had trouble getting and staying asleep during the night and has only gotten worse with teething. I’m exhausted and have a hard time keeping up with my boys. I’d love this training device to help him understand time better. Thanks for the giveaway!

Baby up at 3:00am every night to play. I have no idea why, but I need sleep!

  126. Lynne K says:

When my daughter was little she would get “night terrors” and be screaming in her sleep. One of us would have to go in, wake her up. and try to get her and then us to go back to sleep. If we could have convinced her to look at her clock and see that it was still black, I think she would have gone back to sleep easier. Now it seems like something she could use with our granddaughter and hopefully avoid the whole problem.

I’ve been hearing so much about this clock. I think it would really help my little grandson go to sleep.

I had my first baby in 1995, one in 1998, one in 2002, and one in 2005. Even though they are all out of their baby/infant stages, I still find myself checking on everyone, making sure everyone is still breathing. I feel like I haven’t slept in 14 years!

Between all the teething and colds, we haven’t had a good night’s sleep in 18 months, so that’s my I need sleep story.

  136. Lisa Taylor says:

I really need sleep I have 4 kids 10 and under and my 5 year old has gotten in the habit of climbing in bed with me in the middle of the night Top that off with my husband snoring like a freight train and that’s one peaceful nights sleep.

  137. Gianna says:

My 8 year old and 3 year old give me such a hard time getting them to go to bed even starting them hours in advance does no good. I also have 9 month old twins to get to bed as well so every night is a nightmare!

My fiance was working, I was on maternity leave.. I didn’t want to ask for help, I wanted to take care of my newborn all by myself and do it MY WAY! well.. thats exactly what I did.. and I was like a walking zombie! no naps.. only 2 hours of sleep per night. Was it worth it? Oh yeah..every bit of it! Now, she still has her darn binky and wakes up two – three times a night because she lost it. I find it, put it back in her mouth and go back to sleep! ugh! :)
