The Duchy Originals brand was founded in the UK in 1992 by HRH Prince Charles The Prince of Wales. The Prince set out to produce food of the highest quality, using the best natural ingredients, produced sustainably and in harmony with the environment, while supporting worthwhile causes through The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation. Duchy Originals is now produced in partnership with Waitrose. Waitrose is a premium UK grocery chain with 272 stores – a division of the John Lewis Partnership.
Walkers Shortbread is proud to introduce a line of shortbread and biscuits true to that original ethos. Every product follows the Duchy Originals from Waitrose Good Food Charter: that every product ”Is Good”, ”Does Good” and ”Tastes Good”.
My Thoughts
Nothing is better with my morning coffee than Duchy Originals, my favorite being the Highland All Butter Shortbread. The delicious taste and texture of these shortbread “cookies” are just divine. You can almost taste the care that went into making Duchy Originals. The flavors of the what we received were Original Oaten Biscuits which are savory, sweet and perfect on their own or served with cheese (my husband’s favorites), Highland All Butter Shortbread is luxuriously smooth and delicious, Stem Ginger All Butter Shortbread is delicately balanced with spicy sweetness from Australian Buderim Ginger and Sicilian lemons contribute the refreshing zest to Lemon All Butter Shortbread a family wide favorite. They are all amazing and I do hope to be able to find them locally because they need to be stocked in my pantry! Delicious!!!
