Oops….I’m Sorry Review

“Oops…..I’m Sorry is an interactive web site that offers people Options, Opportunities, Possibilities and Solutions (OOPS), to deal with the “OOPS” that happen in life. Oops” as we define it is, anything that goes wrong or is upsetting.

The free and easy-to-use website allows members, under a user name, to post an “Apology To” message, letting people know they care about something that went wrong, an “Apology Due” message where they can express feelings of anger or hurt caused by someone else’s actions, or post a “Confession,” anonymously, as a way for members to get things off their chest.  Lastly, through the “Virtual Conscience” members can send positive, guiding, supportive messages anonymously to help others manage the “oops” in life.

Apology To are public messages acknowledging something that went wrong. Saying “I’m sorry,” here people share their thoughts and feelings about mistakes, accidents, disappointments, and other life “oops” with or without taking responsibility or owning blame.

Apology Due are public messages letting someone know they need to say “I’m Sorry”. When a friend, family member, colleague, acquaintance or stranger does something wrong, Apology Due messages let them know. Instead of harboring feelings of anger, resentment and hurt, a person can vent their feelings and make it clear why they feel wronged.

The message boards empower users to share their thoughts and feelings without hesitation, no matter what time of day. They eliminate the fears associated with speaking face-to-face and let others see they too are not the only one who makes mistakes.  The unique and interactive nature of Oops…..I’m Sorry allows members to deal with their dilemmas by simply acknowledging them and the feelings they’ve inspired or with the help of other members’ support and guidance.  Letting go of anger or resentment can improve one’s well-being – whether you giving or receiving forgiveness.

Online social websites providing message boards for people to deal with life’s trials have been quickly embraced.  Oops…..I’m Sorry has thousands of members and growing.

My Thoughts

I think this is a brilliant idea! We have all had those moments where we needed to apologize to someone for something you did or said that was wrong. Taking it one step further, Oops….I’m Sorry also has a way to let people know, “Hey, I deserve an apology for what you did/said”. The fact that you remain anonymous is wonderful. But I will have to say that my favorite aspect of Oops….I’m Sorry is the Virtual Conscience, where you can email someone who may be going down a wrong path, or making bad decisions and give them words of encouragement to help them out.

Overall, Oops….I’m Sorry provides people with a place to go and vent, to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven and to help others when needed. I recommend you visit and participate in the message boards, especially if you need to get something off your chest, it feels good to let it all go!
