Pookafun Noobee® Review And Giveaway

The concept of the Noobee® was developed in 2006, by Sara Thurman Oates. Sara was fulfilling a need for something to help to prevent her son from pulling her hair, poking her nose and scratching her skin while breastfeeding. That’s what inspired the Noobee®! Creator, Sara Thurman Oates comments on her goal for this innovative product, “I wanted to create a product that I would enjoy using with my baby and toddler for years to come. That meant creating something versatile and creative.” She succeeded with the Noobee®! The Noobee® is a wonderful educational product that offers multiple activities for children newborn to school age. The Noobee® was originally created for a mother to wear around her neck while breast or bottle-feeding her baby. The purpose in this case is to keep baby’s busy little fingers occupied when he or she reaches the age of grabbing at everything and showing less interest in the meal, and more interest in his or her surroundings.
I recently got the chance to do a review of this great product and I as well as my toddler love it! A couple of things stood out to me right off the bat. It is soft, it is colorful and it is able to be used for more than just the baby stage. I didn’t get to use it for what it was originally made for as I am past that stage, but it is one of my toddlers favorite things. We take it with us in the car, when she is in her stroller, and I have even taken it into the store while she is in the shopping cart.
This product is an amazing tool for teaching my daughter the letters of the alphabet and her numbers. I love siting with her and pointing to the letters and I love even more when she points to them and tells me what they are on her own. And because the Noobee is so portable there are no limits on where she can learn!
The Noobee Sr. (shown above) has upper and lower case letters as well as numbers 0 -20, and are very eye catching to children because they are so colorful. Flip it over and the back side (shown below) has colorful shapes and pictures as well as nursery rhymes. The Noobee Jr. has the same letters and numbers on the front but has more geometric images on the back.
I am really impressed with this product, it is such a great idea and my daughter loves it. And I am thrilled that she is learning from it too. Definitely recommend the Noobee to everyone, this would make an awesome baby shower gift too. I only wish I had it around when I was still breastfeeding my daughter would have saved so much time dealing with a bored, squirming baby.
