Where Are Your Glasses?

Written in musical rhyme, with hidden glasses throughout the story, Randy Kazandy is fun, spunky, clever, and a bit mischievous. When he visits Dr. Bee, and learns he needs glasses, he devises all sorts of schemes to get rid of the pesky things. He drops them under a car tire, throws them in the sky, and puts them on a passing baby at the grocery store. Randy thinks he looks like an alien from outer space. But no matter what he does, his ever-patient mom pulls out another pair, then another pair, then another which despairs Randy to no end. Brilliantly illustrated, Randy Kazandy would make a wonderful gift for any child needing a gentle lesson in self acceptance. This book is unpredictable and you will find yourself laughing at the funny story line. Randy Kazandy’s motto is “I love being me!” and he embraces this wholeheartedly with the help of his parents.

This book is a fun way to look at why it’s okay to wear glasses. Randy’s antics throughout the book are funny and clever ways kids come up with ditching their glasses. I even shared this book with my tween because she has to wear glasses and she doesn’t like to. I definitely recommend this book to any parent who is trying to find ways to help their young children deal with wearing eye glasses.
