Maternia is a family business that creates products to simplify life after baby. Our first product is Baby Brain – the ultimate iPhone app for parents. Established in 2009 by Jackie and Jay Ashton, Maternia was inspired by Marina (born July ‘07) and Taylor Ashton (born November ‘08) – our two little ones under two.

This app is an amazing one to have, one I wish I would of had when my last child was born. When I think back to all those nights trying to find some sort of paper to write down her feeding schedule on, and later when I had a journal, trying to remember where I last put it just so I could record the time and which side she fed off of, I remember a very hectic, sleep deprived mommy. This app would have made my life so much easier, and that is why I am recommending it to every new momma out there, this app will be a life saver!

You can record feedings, either from the breast or from the bottle, diaper changes and sleep patterns. The breast feeding section has a timer that you start when you start feeding or you can enter start/stop time manually along with which side you left off on. The bottle feedings record the time, amount and any notes you may have for that feeding. Diaper changing can be so much fun right? Well this app will make it so much easier to record when and what the changing consisted of and any notes you may want to remember to talk to the pediatrician about. And then of course there is a sleep timer which you can record when your baby went to sleep and when he/she woke up.

I am telling you this is another genius app for moms to have and it definitely makes my MUST HAVE list. I don’t have multiple little ones but for those that do this is such a great way to keep track of them all at the same time in one convenient location. Gone are the days of searching in the dark for a piece of paper to write this information down on.
