Sesame Street Playground A lively musical journey through Sesame Street productions around the world. This 2-disc set includes a CD with 13 fun songs and a DVD with 5 music videos.
Putumayo Kids is pleased to announce the release of Sesame Street Playground, a CD/DVD set featuring songs and music videos from Sesame Street productions around the world. This new release represents a shared mission of Putumayo Kids and Sesame Workshop: to reach children worldwide and help children learn about and respect other cultures. Sesame Street Playground is the first globally distributed Sesame Workshop audio CD.
Sesame Street Playground is an exciting world music adventure for kids, with each song and video produced in its country of origin. Thirteen songs from Brazil, France, China, India, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands, Palestine, Russia, South Africa and Tanzania complement two from the U.S. flagship production. Listeners can sing along to favorite songs such as “Rubber Ducky” in Chinese, while viewers will experience new sounds, characters and styles of music from other cultures by watching videos such as “Galli Galli Sim Sim,” the show opening from the India series.
The two-disc package features a music CD with 13 songs, featuring favorite Sesame Street Muppets, plus characters developed to reflect the unique cultural and social development needs of children in each host country. Elmo, Big Bird and Snuffleupagus join the rest of the Sesame Street family to perform familiar tunes, as well as original songs from international Sesame Street shows in an array of different languages. The DVD features 5 music videos that visit distant locales such as Russia, South Africa and Mexico. Colorful liner notes in four languages make Sesame Street Playground a truly educational and entertaining gift for children aged 2 and up.
My toddler loved this CD she danced her little bottom off to all the music. And when it was over she said, “More”, so we played it again and I loved watching her enjoy the music. This is a fun set of music and very educational to show your child there is more than just our cultures and languages out there.

Pop Fly is Justin’s much anticipated sixth CD. He continues to take children’s music to new musical and lyrical heights with his unique “kindie” rock. Whether describing the occasional triumphs of a distracted outfielder or imagining all the magnificent creatures living inside Henrietta’s unkept hair, this recording brims with sounds that are more Fountains of Wayne than Romper Room.
I loved Pop Fly! My toddler and I danced around all over the room and my 9 year old even jumped in. The song Pop Fly is a get up and get moving type song. If you don’t believe me check it out for yourself here. Very catchy tune and the rest of the CD is great!

Yes to Running – Bill Harley Live was recorded live in Missoula, MT in front of a packed house, this collection of fan favorite songs (“You’re in Trouble”, “I Like to Sing”, “Mom and the Radio”) and beloved stories (“Mrs. Ammons and the Boys’ Room”, “The Teachers’ Lounge” and “The Ballad of Dirty Joe”) will make you feel as if you were there. A treat for young and old alike, Harley’s sincerity, wit and wisdom is plain to see through the enthusiastic response and participation of the audience.
The mixture of comedy and singing got me and my family laughing and dancing and my kids loved the song “You’re in Trouble” and walk around singing it all day. This is a great collection to listen to.
I have been given an extra copy of each of these CDs and I am going to give all 3 of them to one lucky Dirty Shirt reader. See below for rules:

My kid’s funniest dance move is that ever since I can remember, he does the Pony to anything, rock, kids, classical. he is hilarious and still does it to this day.

I think the funniest was when my son learned to dance thanks to my father. He tossed on an old record of Elvis Rock a Hula and the little guy learned to swivel his hips!
Thanks for the opportunity

When I was little I used to pretend I was on stage in our family basement and I was home alone and belting out one of my favorite songs at the time only to realize that my parents came home and saw me dancing and serenading the invisible audience in front of me…I was so embarassed!

My son loves the show Yo Gabba Gabba, and all it’s funny songs. When he’s eating something he likes, I hear him singing to himsrlf “There’s a party in my tummy. so yummy. so yummy.”
We have the BEST home video of my oldest when she was about 4. In her undies and a tutu – singing a song she made up – while riding a stick horse AND shaking her rear. (talented – lol) She HATES the video now that she’s 10, but when she was little she’d watch it over and over to see her “show.”

I bust out laughing one day when my son and I were driving in the car. He had all of a sudden started singing out the words to “Before He Cheats.” I have no idea where he picked up the words, but it was a classic moment.

This is easy because my kid is a ham when he is in front of people…Last Christmas the children were singing some songs up front…unfortunately (fortunately?), they put my son in front of the mike…when they had finished singing Away in the Manger, my son grabbed the mike and asked, “Any questions???” I joked with my Pastor that he was either trying to take his place or hinting that there should be an Outreach Pastor – HIM!!
OR My second son (Age 2.5) singing Twinkle Twinkle to his little sister…but he says, “Tinkle, Tinkle, little star.” That is too adorable for words!!

The funniest time for me was my 4 year old granddaughter was singing and dancing in the living room and tripped over her own two feet and while on the floor said thank you, thank you very much in an Elvis voice. That made me laugh and I had no idea how she learned Elvis.

When my daughter was a little more than a year, we got her some shakers. To encourage her to shake them and dance at the same time, I’d sing, “Shake shake shake! Shake shake shake! Shake your booty!” She would then shake the shakers and her booty, singing, “Booty!”

I caught my step son singing a linkin park song in the shower, really rockin out! I never told him I caught him or he would have been so embarrassed! He was only 7 years old.

My grandson was in the shower last weekend and he broke out singing. LOUD singing. He was singing one of the songs from the Cars movie. It was just so cute all of us were standing in the bedroom listening to him sing as loudly as he could. I loved it!
Thanks so much!

My 21 month grandson stands about a foot from the TV and sings to the wiggles and does the hand motions. He’s such a hoot.
I guess he gets it honest. My mom says when I was four I would stand behind one of those old Console radios that was in the yard and do all the voices for the singers, announcers, ads and all.

One of my daughters would try to sing-a-long at church. She wouldn’t know the words and she’d be so cute. She’d sing lalalalala in most of the songs to improvise for the words she didn’t know.
My son loves to sing along with his favorite show, Little Einsteins. He also dances around the room, his dance moves look kind of like lunges. It’s hilarious.
