Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has launched  Sesame Street: Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece for Wii and Nintendo DS, the newest editions in the Company’s line of award-winning Sesame Street games.

Designed around Sesame Workshop’s early childhood development curriculum, Sesame Street: Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece encourages music creation, physical aspects of movement and dance, emotional expression through music and dance, exploration of instruments, and introduces academic aspects of music such as mathematics in music (patterns, counting), musical elements, and notation.

My Thoughts

My daughter loved playing this game. As I watched her she was collecting musical notes to create a song. At the end of the level she was able to hear the song she created minus any of the notes she couldn’t pick up along the way. It was fun for her to listen and see where she was missing the notes. She even sang along to the song. As you can tell by the blurry images below, this is not a sit on your bottom type of game. She was off the couch and jumping around having a great time. With multiple games to play, another favorite was “Do the Elmo”,  she has many hours of play time with Sesame Street: Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece. The game is as educational as it is fun and I love that she has it added to her game collection!
