Sparkle iPhone has all the features from the PC game including three game modes and a magnificent sound track by Jonathan Geer. The main storyline takes the player through the magical forest of Crowberry Woods in a quest to save it from the darkness. The basic game play was inspired by classic games like Puzz Loop or Zuma but the final result is nothing short of unique. While the game is easy to learn, there is also a lot of room for improvement after that. For example, powerups are gained after each series of three successive moves so a skilled player can plan out his actions beforehand a bit. In addition, the player gains amulets which have an effect on the game rules and so they open a wide range of new game play options. The game has three unique game modes and over 90 levels in the first difficulty level. For those who like mystery, there are also some hidden secrets to discover.

My Thoughts
My first thought about this game was that it was just like Zuma, a game I have played a lot. But I was completely wrong as it encompasses so much more, and it is just as addictive, if not more. I love all the ways that there are to power up so to speak and open the playing field a little more. And 90 levels??? I will be at this for awhile and you won’t hear me complain, I love games like this, games where I can become immersed in a different world and just play. And don’t even get me started on hidden secrets I am determined to find them all!!!! I love this game and it has become my new favorite iPod app! Graphics are beautiful and the music is fitting, and all around great app! I recommend Sparkle to everyone.
