Strange Sam | iPod App Review

Strange Sam

I am always on the lookout for iPod Apps directed to young children. They have been lifesavers to me in the past when stuck in a doctor’s office, or while shopping. I am very happy to add Strange Sam to my collection. After reviewing this app I found it a simple, yet magical story that has captured my daughter’s attention. The story alone is great but you can change the voice narration to either a boy or a girl and a surprising addition to this app is that you can touch the images and interact with them. My toddler loves to do that, and giggles while the images move to her touch.

I love the watercolor drawings in this story, subtle but draw your attention in. My daughter’s favorite thing to do by herself is change the narration from boy to girl and back all through the story. Kind of breaks up the story in my opinion but I am just surprised and happy that she can do it on her own.

FEATURES

  • Read with your child
  • Touch to see the pictures animate in a surprising and fun way
  • Read along with two different narrators
  • Read with music soundtrack
  • Touch to turn the pages or set the pages to turn automatically
  • Touch to skip to any chapter in the story

I recommend everyone adding the delightful story of Strange Sam to their iPod App collection. Your children will love it!
