Coleman
W.C. Coleman could see the light for the darkness. The young salesman was taking a stroll after a hard day’s work selling typewriters, and spotted a new type of lamplight in a drugstore window in Brockton, Alabama. This new light burned with a strong, steady white flame and was fueled by gasoline. The standard lamp of the era burned kerosene and produced a smoky, flickering, yellowish light. W.C. was stricken with very poor eyesight, and was very interested in this new, steady white light that enabled him to read even the smallest print in books and on medicine bottles. Coleman saw potential in the new light, and through his vision a new company was born that would put America’s farms and ranches in a new light, and would eventually make his name synonymous with outdoor fun.

My Thoughts
I love using Crisco in my everyday cooking and baking, not only does it make my food not stick but it adds flavor to my dishes that only Crisco can. From way back making cookies with my grandma to now and me making cookies with my kids it is one brand that has been around and is so very trusted.
Coleman is another of those trusted brands, one that through generations has been on almost all my families camping trips, in fact it is a brand that is a major part of my hurricane supplies. I have Coleman lanterns, tents and airbeds among other things. The LE RoadTrip LE Grill will now be added to that as in the past we have lost power during these storms and having a grill to cook on is a major plus! I am only happy to add it to my Coleman Gear!
Both of these brands are major players in my everyday life and with grilling season here it is only natural to bring them together. What a great giveaway!! One of our family favorites is tin foil dinners. Wrap some meat, potatoes and veggies in tin foil and put on grill. Everyone gets what they like and little clean up.

I take chicken, and add my homemade pommegranite barbeque sauce, and drizzle it on about 15 minutes before it is done. Not sooner, because the sugar in the sauce will get overdone.

I use Wish Bone’s Robusto Italian salad dressing as a marinade for sirloin steak. Put it in the marinade for 24-48 hours, turning occasionally.

My Favorite grilled recipe is my shish Ka Bobs
Marinade a filet mignon. In seperate bowl marinade mushrooms,sliced yellow and orange peppers, sliced onions. We use Hoisen sauce and a teriyaki ginger marinade. Marinade for at least 3 hours
Skew a kabob with chunks of kabob and vegetables add pineapple chunks.
Grill and then you have thee most amazing shish kabobs ever.

My husband makes the best meatloaf burgers…they are thicker/heartier than a regular burger! He has a special mustardy-vinegar sauce he bastes them with, oh yum!

My favorite grilled recipe? Take a pound cake, slice into 1 inch thick pieces, then grill lightly on both sides. Top with fresh cut-up strawberries and whipped cream. The grilling heats the pound cake and toasts it, and then it is warm for the strawberries and cream. Delicious!

I love a classic burger! My mom makes amazing ones, but when I can’t have hers I like to make mine from ground buffalo mixed with egg (to hold them together), chopped onions, black pepper, and a little bit of Worcester sauce. Delicious!
I love the Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs -Marinated mushrooms and bacon-wrapped chicken chunks threaded onto skewers with pineapple, and cooked on the grill!

Whenever I BBQ my friends request my pita sandwhiches.
I grill up a steak and slice when done
Spread hummus on the inside of a pita,fill with shredded lettuce,cucumber diced and diced tomatos add steak and pour italian dressing on top.
