Husband and Wife team Gabriel and Tiffany Corbett are both photographers residing in Laguna Beach, CA. One of their favorite subjects to photograph, is their beloved french bulldog, Sweet Pea. They knew from the first day they brought her home, she was a natural model by the way she took to the camera and struck a pose. Sweet Pea enjoys dressing up in her favorite bumblebee costume.

I loved sharing this book with both of my daughters, especially my toddler as she loves dogs. But my tween absolutely loved the images of Sweet Pea in her bee costume and really took to heart the inspirational words that were throughout the book. This is a great book for both children and adults and would make a great gift for someone you love.

As for children, this is a wonderful seed to plant in a developing mind, a simple message to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, along with great photos to make the point more fun.
The “star” of the book – Sweet Pea – is truly as magical as she is comical. I know her personally and she has made me laugh out loud more than once with her funny personality, plus the amazing fact that on the first day she came to our neighborhood, my own wiley KITTY fell in love with her (a dog!) and they became best friends instantly, even hanging out together playing cat and mouse hide and seek amongst all the flowers here. Even as the Sweet Pea outgrew my kitty in size they remained “friends for life” and often kissed noses and sunbathed side by side during the afternoons of summer.
Not too long ago, during an impromptu walk with Sweet Pea, she made me smile again as she played the “pied piper” to help me rescue two lost dogs who escaped their home yard and started following us, the big yellow lab just constantly trying to play with her as if it too was just a puppy! A passing neighbor could not get those dogs to follow back to their own house – until I had Sweet Pea “lead the way” back to their front door, and only then did they follow her back to their safe home, at which point the neighbor got them in, and we continued on our merry way.
So, when you look through the pages of this book, and you see the magical Sweet Pea… you should know you are actually seeing the REAL thing. A funny and lighthearted dog with a big heart full of love… for people, other animals, and yes, even a love for the camera and playing dress up every chance she gets! Sweet Pea is by far, the best “little dog” I ever met.
