My Thoughts

Everyone knows that Barney is big in my home and my toddler lives by his movies, and together we are enjoying this new one as it teaches the benefits of being outside. Especially finding shapes in the clouds, a new fun past time for my daughter and I. While we are out sitting in the sun and playing in the pool we find all sorts of animals and even a car or two. She has learned all the songs from this DVD and happily sings along. I love that she is, for the time being, oblivious to the world and can be a happy little girl enjoying her Barney shows. Barney: Let’s Play Outside is a great addition to her Barney library and I recommend it to everyone.

The debut title in the all-new Let’s Grow series of DVDs, Let’s Grow: Lend A Helping Hand has blossomed onto DVD from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment. This initial title in the Let’s Grow series features preschool favorites Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Thomas & Friends™, Fireman Sam™ and Angelina Ballerina™ in fun learning adventures about helping others.

Co-branded by HIT Entertainment and Sprout®, each DVD in the Let’s Grow series is uniquely themed and focuses on areas preschoolers encounter everyday – cleaning up, manners, safety, friendship, cooperation and more. Episodes are woven together by live-action segments featuring hosts from Sprout’s original Sunny Side Up Show, along with their puppet friend, Chica the Chicken. My Thoughts

Quality educational children’s DVDs are a huge part of how I teach my daughter. Actually it is how I have taught all my kids. And the shows that come from HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate are great tools and have since helped me teach my daughter right from wrong, left from right and how to say please and thank you. I have not gone wrong in having her watch these shows. And Lend A Helping Hand just gives me more opportunity to teach her. Recycling and helping our world is very important to us and now we can have our toddler have a hand in that as well as she learns the importance of lending a helping hand. I loved this series and look forward to all the others that will be released. A definite for my DVD shelf!

My Thoughts

Barney, as always, is a welcome addition to our family, as my toddler doesn’t get through one day without watching him on screen in one DVD or another. I don’t mind though, as I see everything that she is learning from watching him. And “I Love My Family” is another one of those great DVDs that teach great lessons. Moms are the topic of this one and every time they say the word mom my toddler comes running over to me and gives me a great big hug. I LOVE that! This is a definite must have for any child’s movie library.

My toddler loves these characters and they have become such a regular sight in our home. Barney of course is her favorite by far and she is actually looking forward to the holidays thanks to these shows. I am, however, having a hard time explaining to her that there will be no snow here in Florida! She keeps running around saying “snow, snow, want to see snow” and she doesn’t get that it won’t snow here. So we watch this DVD to get our snow fill together. It is a great addition to any child’s movie library and I recommend watching it with your child.

My daughter is a Barney fan and I was so happy to have the chance to add this DVD to her ever growing collection, especially as it teaches about sharing which she definitely needs to learn now. If Barney isn’t on at some point during our day then something is wrong. Sharing and Caring is a great show, with bonus features like: BJ’s Batting Cage Counting Game and The World’s Greatest Toy matching game. My toddler has a lot of while she watches Barney, marching around, signing, dancing and laughing. I love seeing her like that and hearing her laughter. All the Barney shows are great and this one is as well! I recommend adding it to your child’s DVD library.

My toddler loved this DVD mainly for Barney but she watches the other shows as well. My favorite things about the School Days DVD are that they bring back memories from when my son was a toddler and that there are 6 different shows on it so I don’t have to get up and down to change shows in the DVD so often. This DVD is a great one to share with your children. At the end of a long day I love sitting down with my daughter on my lap and laughing our way through the shows.

My toddler fell in love with Barney watching this DVD, which to me was surprising as my son watch Barney when he was little and that was awhile ago! I hadn’t realized that Barney still held that attraction. But he did and my daughter loves this show! And the DVD that comes with this book also grabbed my tween daughters attention when she spotted a young Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato in the show with Barney. They were so cute (and still are) so I had the added hook with this that both my daughters loved this DVD. I recommend getting this show for any Barney fan or tween star fan to see what they used to be like.
