Have you ever tried to blow your nose to relieve congestion but nothing came out? Many people are not aware that their sinus pressure is often caused by swelling due to nasal inflammation, not just mucus.

A recent poll revealed that 79% of Americans are not aware that “inflamed nasal passages” are a potential cause of nasal congestion.

Advil Congestion Relief is a new solution that directly treats what is often the real cause of congestion – swelling due to nasal inflammation. Advil Congestion Relief is the right sinus medicine for the real problem.

Advil Congestion Relief combines the power of Advil and an effective decongestant, to provide relief from sinus pressure, nasal swelling, congestion, and headaches.

Advil Congestion Relief is available at major retailers nationwide.

I will have to say that nasal congestion with me is one of the most disliked things when I am sick, I do not like feeling like I can’t breath and I am one of those that always thought that it was because of mucus build up, never occurred to me that it could be because of inflamed nasal passages. So with the flu season in full swing in Florida, I know a total of five full families that have it at this very moment, I am only too happy to stock up on Advil Congestion Relief so I can take care of the one thing I dislike the most that makes me miserable. And because Advil is a trusted brand in my home I am only too happy to add something that I know will work to my medicine cabinet.

I was provided Advil Congestion Relief information, gratis samples and coupons by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare in conjunction with a blog tour with One2One Network. All opinions are 100% mine.

Available Flavors: Cherry

This cold and flu season is in full swing. We have had someone sick in our home for the last few weeks. It seems to be a cycle, and of course I always get it. I need to be on my toes as I am the caregiver of my kids when they are sick. At the first sign of the on set of a cold in anyone I use Zicam and have for awhile now. And of the two Zicam products I received to review, Zavors and Liqui-Loz, I have to say that the Liqui-Loz has been the most used. The cold we have now in the family comes with a nasty cough and I have been using these to ease the sore throat. The cherry flavored Liqui-Loz work well on that.

What to do to prepare for cold and flu season:

Exercise, eat right, get 7-8 hours of sleep a night and take a daily multi-vitamin.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth during cold and flu season, especially after being exposed to viruses or bacteria.

Promote strong immune function by switching from coffee to tea, eating garlic liberally, and adding yogurt to your diet. And use zinc products, such as Zicam oral Cold Remedy, within the first 24-48 hours of the onset of cold symptoms to reduce the duration and severity of your cold.

Drink lots of water, which flushes toxins out of your body while re-hydrating your system.

While studies show that exercising for at least 30 minutes several times a week can help you stay healthy, our immune system fights most effectively when it isn’t stressed. So listen to your body when you feel sick, as a hard workout could weaken your immune system temporarily and potentially make your illness worse.

I have two giveaway prize packs for my readers that contain these new products and money-saving coupons. Please see rules below to enter.

I am not a doctor and only speak of Zicam through my using the products, I recommend you always check with a doctor before taking a new medication. I was given the two products about to try out for myself and review here on my blog. No other compensation was given.

I got the chance recently to try out some Germy Wormy disposable sanitary sleeves on my daughter and they work great! Perfect timing too because my toddler has a cold and I have been trying to teach her to use these. Sometimes she makes it and sometimes not, but if everyone taught their kids to catch germs this way it would definitely slow down the spread of colds and flu. You can get a Parent Starter Kit or a Classroom Starter Kit. Here is a little information about Germy Wormys:

As cold and flu season gets into full swing, families brace for the onslaught of illness sweeping through their house as their little ones bring home whatever is being shared at schools and playgrounds. Child care facilities and schools begin sanitizing and rigorous hand washing to try and stop the spread of germs, usually to no avail. Work days are lost, kids are out of school, the doctors office gets very busy and cold medicines fly of the shelves all costing families money and time they don’t have in our present economy.

Sanitizing and hand washing are great practices, but illness prevention really should start at stopping the giving of germs – What is the good of washing a doorknob if 2 seconds later your child coughs into their hand and touches the doorknob again? Or washing a toy if 5 minutes later they grab the toy and sneeze on it again?
Sanitizing and washing hands only clean up germs after they are release onto things. Germ need to be stopped as they are released. If kids germs aren’t given to everything, they can’t be gotten by everyone else.
When a child needs to cough or sneeze, what are their options?

The air?A sneeze can propel germs onto everything in it’s path at 200 miles an hour.

Their hands? A child can touch 300 surfaces in 1/2 hour infecting everyone. How many surfaces do you think they touch before they wash their hands?

A tissue? Any parent knows, getting a child to grab a tissue before they cough or sneeze rarely happens – they are too busy!

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the medical community at large recommends teaching kids to cough and sneeze into their elbow. It is the new cough and sneeze etiquette. Elbow?? You read it right. Think about it. Unlike the tissue, the elbow is always there. Unlike the hand, the elbow doesn’t touch very much. Try touching a doorknob, a light switch, a handrail with your elbow. Not easy! Do a Google search on teach children cough elbow. There are 62,000 hits – mostly from the medical community advocating this technique.

The concept is simple, the results are amazing. No germs on their hands to spread. No germs propeled via the air onto surfaces. If kids germs aren’t given to everything, they can’t be gotten by everyone else.Isn’t it better to have the germs in 1 place rather than all over the place?
