My Thoughts

Shout Color Catcher with Oxi has been somewhat of a time saver in my home, a time saver for me that is. Ever since we started using this product I have been able to entrust the laundry chore to my daughter and sometimes even my husband, the other two people who throw mixed loads of laundry into the washer. I say other two because I am guilty of it too, changing many white tees and socks into pink articles of clothing that no one wants to wear. With Shout Color Catcher with Oxi I no longer worry about that and it allows me to get help with the ever growing mountain of laundry we have.

My laundry is my nightmare. With four of us (two girls that change their outfits every ten minutes) it is hard to keep up. I depend heavily on the products I use to help me, that is why you will find Shout on my laundry shelves. Shout Free has been a life saver, the stain remover which is dye free and fragrance free and 99% natural has been my go to product. All you have to do is spray the stain, wait a few minutes and then throw it in with the rest of your wash. The tougher stains I let sit overnight before washing. For me out of the five stains I have used Shout Free on all of them have come out, from wine to grass and blood it has worked. My kids can be messy, heck even my husband and I can accidentally drop something on our pants and shirts, and  when that happens I am happy to have Shout Free on hand, it works and saves me money in the long run on clothes. I have been using Shout products for years and would recommend them to everyone.

My Thoughts

I love being able to green up my home and using less product and less water definitely helps to do just that. I am only to happy to use the P&G products that I have used, especially Tide and Gain and will continue to do so. I have passed this information on to my friends that I see and talk to everyday and now I want to pass this information on to you. I received this handy little kit for my next assignment with Wisk. Sadly, this signified the end of my Wisk campaign and although it is the end I got to end it the way I like….with a kiss! That’s right my last mission was to kiss with glossy lips and all, even though I only kissed a towel. Why the glossy lips just to kiss a towel? Well that is because the gloss I applied to my lips created an oil stain that Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology goes to work on and gets out. I have had so much fun with these assignments, it has made me feel like my kids and I were on a secret mission. So without further ado, here are my result of my Kiss Test…

This assignment worked great! I applied the gloss, kissed the towel and set Wisk to work rubbing in the pre treatment for 30 seconds and then running it under warm water and POOF! the stain was gone. Over and over again during this campaign I have realized just how great Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology works. And I can’t tell you how many other stains on my kids clothes that it has worked on, grass, fruit punch and bbq beans. And it also got a red wine stain off my favorite beige pants! When something works this good I tend to stick with it especially when it makes my life easier and saves me from buying new clothes often. I am impressed with Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology and will continue to use it.

Last weekend my family and I had a tailgate party half to celebrate the football season and half to celebrate that time of year that you can detect the coolness in the air. What better way to celebrate good weather than by being outside in it

So we set out to grilling up some tasty burgers and hot dogs, turned on the music, grabbed a drink and just enjoyed the weather, the food and the family time. But it was not long before I dropped mustard on my shorts, my toddler spilled her juice on her brand new yellow shirt so I thought, “What better time to show what Wisk can do than now”. I even let my toddler paint her sister with BBQ sauce. Okay, not her sister, but her shirt. And then I sent Wisk to work, check out the photos below of the experiment…

Step 1:

I let my toddler loose with ketchup and a baster brush and she painted the front of my older daughters shirt. After the fun of that I painted a straight line down her back for the experiment.

Step 2:

I took the shirt and folded it in half to get to the stain on the back and pre-treated it by pouring Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology on the ketchup mark. I rubbed it in good and let it soak in for 4 minutes.

Step 3:

After allowing it to be pre-treated I rinsed it in warm water and the below image shows the results. From left to right: Shirt with stain, shirt after rinse – no stain, and the front of shirt that was not treated at all with Wisk. I am impressed!!

And just so you can really see here is the shirt after being treated on the back…

The stains came out of the yellow shirt and my shorts too! The power of Wisk with Stain Spectrum is amazing and has helped me out in the laundry department immensely. The money I am saving with being able to get the stains out instead of tossing the clothing is great and with my messy teen and toddler that savings is huge! We all know that kids love to get clothes dirty, but today I learned that my daughter loves to get clothes clean. Now, she doesn’t like to do laundry, that would make things too easy for me, but she loved doing a little experiment using Wisk’s new Stain Spectrum Technology detergent.

My daughter donned her goggles and lab coat and became my assistant in a fun little assignment. Armed with fabric that was protein stained, just one of the many forms of stains, and a pipette filled with Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology, we set out to get the stain out, and our findings were spot on (actually the spot came off lol) My daughter was extremely surprised with the way the whole assignment went, not realizing just how laundry detergent worked.

Here is our experiment:

• First we filled a beaker with warm water.
• Next, we filled the pipette with Wisk
• Wrote my daughter’s name on the fabric
• Swirled it around in the warm water
• And PRESTO! there was no stain where she wrote her name

I can tell you that my daughter learned something new today (something that will count toward her homeschooling credit) and I learned just how amazing Wisk is! I mean look at the beaker in the photos above, it took the green stain right out and it stayed in the water! After I stopped taking pictures my daughter kept cleaning the cloth and at the end the cloth was completely white and the water in the beaker was completely green. I am impressed and will be using Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology to get my family’s clothes clean. Oh and did I mention that it smells good too, that is important to me.

I remember the days when my mother would throw clothes out that had stains  that she just could not get out. A very vivid memory is the “ring around the collar” my father had on his work shirts, after tireless tries to get them completely clean, they would end up in the garbage can. Along with my soccer shorts that were stained beyond repair and my cheerleading outfits that were always dirty. Back when my mother handled the laundry there just wasn’t enough power in the laundry soaps back then. Do you remember the following commercial?

I recently got invited to New York for the Bubbles and Bubbly event held by Laundry HE, and let me tell you I learned a lot about bubbles! This was really a classy event and the loft looked absolutely beautiful! We had great learning stations where we learned all about bubbles both fact and myth.

My group first went over to the bubble reader, that’s right I had my bubbles read! And everything she said was right on the money. I even had a perfect shaped heart made of bubbles at the bottom of my cup and that meant great love. During the readings some snacks were laid out and one caught my eye.

Cotton Candy! I hadn’t seen or had cotton candy in forever and having it again made me flash back to my childhood. Such a great station and it was very cool to learn that you could actually have your bubbles read.

The next station was learning about laundry detergent. I was actually happy to go to this station as I definitely learned something new. See I was always a believer in more bubbles mean cleaner clothes when it came to laundry soap. Boy was I wrong. It doesn’t take a whole slew of bubbles to get your clothes any cleaner, and Wisk HE laundry detergent saves your HE washer by having less bubbles. But in this case less didn’t mean not clean as we found out on a grass stain by putting regular detergent and Wisk HE detergent on it, donning some sexy kitchen gloves and soaking/agitating the stain in water. They both came out clean.

The last station by far was my favorite, because we learned that there is a product that having more bubbles means its a good thing. Champagne!

The wonderful Sommelier was very knowledgeable and we got to taste some very good champagne, in fact one of the bottles was quite pricey and what do you know it was my favorite, so I took a picture of the bottle and sent it to my hubby! But seriously, more bubbles, and tiny bubbles means it is a better bubbly!

The evening was a great success, with great speakers, fun stations and a new admiration for bubbles. I met many new people and even caught up with some I have seen at previous events. New York was beautiful and I had an enjoyable time. Thanks to everyone at Laundry HE for hosting this event and for allowing me to be a part of it. And all the hard work everyone put into making the loft so beautiful, very much appreciated!

I wanted to share a few things with my readers when it comes to the Frigidaire Affinity Washer & Dryer, which I am so thankful to have. Not only have they made my life so much easier by cutting down the time it takes me to complete my laundry chore but it has saved me money.

WASHER:

In the past my mountains of clothing could usually be done in about 6 loads. That is a lot of water and my bill kept going up. Ever since having the Frigidaire washer here at my home and using it on almost a daily basis my bill has gone down by $3 a month. Now that may not seem like a lot to some, but adding up over time with a family of 5 always needing clothes washed it is a great savings!

DRYER:

So not only is it a time saver for me, the dryer is actually running less! Running less means less electricity used which in turn means a lower electric bill which makes me very happy!
