It seems like every company has these amazing stories about how they got started doing what they do, like, “I was on a trip to south America and saw some shoes and thought, I’m going to start a business selling these shoes in America!” or “I was skiing down the Alps and realized my feet were cold so I started feetwarmers.com!”

So we tried coming up with a story so amazing, so jawdropping, that at very thought of it people would start crying uncontrollably in the streets. But after multiple sheets of crumpled paper and countless arguments on which African country we were skydiving into when we got this idea, we realized, why not just say how it actually happened:
