Got Milk?

Being a mom has made me more aware of eating right and healthy and giving my body everything it needs to stay on the right track. That includes milk. My day wouldn’t be complete without my servings of milk, and I am so glad to have passed that on to my children. Milk not only gives them the vitamin D they need but it is packed with eight other essential nutrients as well. Luckily I never have to make my kids drink their milk, they do it all on their own and they understand what an important part of their diet it is.

And to help them keep that understanding we have made it fun and not made it seem like a chore. We tried out the Banana Breakfast Shake recipe over at whymilk.com and it is delicious. I wanted to share it with my readers: (this recipe is taken from the whymilk.com website and does not belong to me)

I am bad at drinking milk. I only like it in cereal or with oreos. Luckily my kids love drinking milk.

That sounds really good. One thing I do when I have smoothie type drinks like these is freeze the banana the night before because it makes the drink thicker and tastes more like a milkshake. Adding the vanilla and almond sounds great, thanks for the tip! :)
